INSIDE THE ARCHIVE

Alma draws from Japanese katazome, a stencil-dyeing tradition dating to the 12th century and often rendered in indigo. Its geometric repeat references a grid-like katazome print from a rare print book, reinterpreted here in a contemporary form.
